A modern style venue with sustainability, land and sea as the guiding principles that made it Newcastle’s Premiere wedding destination and winner of The Newcastle Architecture Awards. Located just a short walk from the beach, you will find yourself swept up in soft earth tones and shining light from the open air space as you celebrate your day.

CEREMONY
Modus Merewether is one of the most versatile and flexible spaces you will find in Newcastle and the Hunter Region. Ever dreamed of that perfect outdoor ceremony but are worried about weather being out of your control? Their open plan space will give you the look and feel of a complete outdoor wedding, even when it rains. With many different function areas, they can accommodate both large and small ceremonies adjusting to make sure it is the right fit for you. They suit everything from large to intimate.

RECEPTION
Whether you’re having your reception held at Modus Merewether or rolling your Modus ceremony straight into your reception, the vibes will flow throughout the night. Cocktail hour in the Barrel Room or their sunny Cerveza Lane to kick off things, then moving into your seated or cocktail style reception where your formalities can begin before you are served your delicious Modus meals carefully curated by our experienced Head Chef. The breathtaking space can house just under 300 people.

CATERING
They offer:
– 3 different Canape Packages
– 2 or 3 course seated options, whether it’s our Feed Me banquette style Package or alternate drop
– Charcuterie platters that feed about 10 people per platter
– Taco station
– Cater to all dietary needs

Couples are most welcome to bring in a gelato cart for the Cerveza Laneway or anything they like when it comes to an alternative to a Wedding cake or dessert.

BEVERAGES
Modus Merewether is a Brewery where all of their own beer is brewed onsite. The brewery is fully functioning, modern and always a great talking point or centrepiece with the large stainless steel tanks adding a touch of the unique. Your guests can enjoy brewery-fresh Modus beers poured from 36 frosty taps and a full service bar complete with cocktails and wine list.

STYLING
Modus Merewether offers a unique, sustainable, local, indoor/outdoor venue space that is light, bright, airy and natural. The team are able to move tables to fit your desired floor plan. Cutlery, crockery and glassware is all provided. Stylists are welcome to add your special touch to the space.
