Mrs Owens Chapel + Earp Distilling Co.
Growing up in the Newcastle region meant that Rebecca and Jonathan had a strong emotional connection to local lands.
“Newcastle was where we met and indulged in our most treasured memories. It was also so important to us to support small local businesses from Newcastle.”
CEREMONY
“The Owens Collective was the perfect hidden gem and a no brainer for our ceremony. Their commitment to preserving the deep historical story of Islington and showcasing local artists sparked so much excitement for us.
Our ceremony was the perfect cocktail of high energy, bright colours, belly laughs and deep emotion. Our guests enjoyed cocktails and grazing table on arrival, and sweet acoustic tunes. We ditched the traditional ‘walk down the aisle’ approach and ran down the aisle together.”
RECEPTION
“We chose Earp Distilling Co. as our reception venue for the same reasons. The Earp name is synonymous with Newcastle. Having contributed significantly to our local community over the last 100 years, we were proud to partner with them to bring together our dream celebration.
We opted for a cocktail style wedding as we wanted our guests to be able to move around wherever they felt comfortable.”
DETAILS
“Our styling theme was light, bright and fun. The brighter, the better! After a few quick speeches, we hit the dance floor.
Sam from Silent Shout kept everyone on that dance floor until the lights came on. Best night ever!”
