Saltwater Restaurant. 

With Taras growing up in Coffs Harbour, and Rachel growing up in Sydney, Port Stephens was the perfect wedding location that was in-between both families.

“We also knew we wanted somewhere beachy, as Taras was a surfer. When we saw Shoal Bay Country Club, we thought it was the perfect venue, as it had the accommodation and beach close by. It also matched our relaxed vibe.”

CEREMONY
“Our ceremony location was a cliff top in Boat Harbour. We were always set on having a small, micro wedding with family and close friends, so it was perfect for our 35-person party. The water views were an incredible backdrop for our ceremony. Our celebrant matched our vibe to keep everything super relaxed and lighthearted.

When I walked down the aisle Taras cried and it was super emotional, as we had just found out a month earlier that I was pregnant with twins. My little bump can be seen in my dress.”

RECEPTION
“Shoal Bay Country Club were amazing to work with. We had espresso martinis and passionfruit mojitos, plus a huge paella station for guests during cocktail hour. We then had a 2 course sit down dinner, which was delicious. The venue looked incredible and was perfect for our guests to party all night long.”

DETAILS
“Our colour theme was bright and colourful to reflect us as a couple. We went for pinks, peaches, and yellows – going for a fun flirty vibe. 

We were very impressed with The Event Artists. They were so easy to work with and we loved that they combined graphic design (signage), styling, and florals as a package. We were in awe of the hanging floral arrangement at our reception. They really brought our vision to life with every small detail.”
