Rachel and Oliver chose the Hunter Valley for their wedding because it was so close to home but felt like a completely different place.

CEREMONY
“We wanted our ceremony to be fun and light-hearted. We knew our celebrant Loz would tell our story perfectly and make the ceremony fun – and she exceeded all our expectations. Our most memorable moment would be our little boy walking down the aisle with his two nannas as they threw petals.”

RECEPTION
“We started our reception with a sparkler entry and then an impromptu dance. We didn’t want a sit-down dinner, as we wanted everyone to mingle. We did photobomb photos, where we sat on the dance floor, and everyone ran in and grabbed a photo – they were so much fun and our favourite photos of the night!”

DETAILS
“Our styling theme was flower power! We told all our guests to incorporate something floral into their attire, and then we went full 70s disco. We had disco balls and fringing hanging from the ceiling, and we played 70’s disco tunes all night. It was so much fun and totally us.

Our photographer Susannah Johnson was incredible. She was super relaxed on the day, and we didn’t even notice she was there for all of the candid shots. She is a magician with light and all her images just transport us right back to the day.”
