Larissa and Pete both grew up in the Hunter Valley and knew it was where they wanted to get married.

“We only looked at venues that could accommodate our whole family staying with us – and a venue that allowed dogs (our only non-negotiable).

Pete lost his best mate just prior to getting engaged. They used to spend their childhood riding push bikes down the mountains behind Stonehurst. The first time we visited Stonehurst, the biggest rainbow we have ever seenshone above Pete, and we knew this was where we needed to get married.

Getting married in March, we were also very cautious of the weather and Stonehurst offered multiple options, which put our mind completely at ease.”

CEREMONY
“Our celebrant made our ceremony the perfect mix of funny, romantic and loveable…and she told our story better than we ever could. We laughed and cried, and then laughed some more!”

RECEPTION
“Our reception – AKA The Party – was what we were most excited for. Our friends and family made funny speeches, we ate burgers and chips, drank espresso martinis, and then it was time to dance. Silent Shout did not disappoint and 100% made our night. In terms of styling, Stonehurst shines on its own with an abundance of greenery and vineyards. When making decisions, we were hyper aware that the colour palette needed to blend with greens and timbers.”

DETAILS
“We could not recommend Stonehurst more. It was a venue that offered it ALL. It accommodated 30 of our friends and family, our puppies could be with us all weekend, the venue itself was a backdrop from every angle, and the multiple weather options was a dream. The staff were incredible and supportive throughout the entire process. And their wines were also a crowd favourite!”
