Newcastle. 

After 8 years together, Kira and Wally wanted a short engagement, and opted for a surprise elopement.

“We love exploring new places and had never been to Newcastle. We found Mel (our gorgeous celebrant) before we were engaged and knew we wanted her to marry us! We got all the low down from her, including our wedding venue, and she hooked us up with our amazing photographer Dea from Little Black Bow Photography!”

CEREMONY
“For our ceremony, we wanted to be able to see the water but not be on the sand. Mel found us the perfect place at Anne Feneley Lookout in Newcastle. She really tailored our ceremony to us! It was short and sweet and FULLY LOADED with Simpson quotes.”

RECEPTION
“We ditched the normal kind of reception and went for a drive around Newcastle, finishing with an afternoon at Timezone! We then had dinner at a Rustica – a beautiful Mediterranean restaurant overlooking Newcastle Beach.”

We wanted to use Wally’s Troopy in some of our pics and she nailed the brief perfectly! We had many ideas such as balloons, glasses, disco balls, confetti, smoke flares – and she accommodated them all!”
