Kasey and Hamish chose voco Kirkton Park as their wedding venue.

“We had stayed there a few times before and loved its cozy, relaxed vibe, set against the stunning landscape. It has the welcoming charm of a bed-and-breakfast, which is unique for a hotel and wedding venue – it felt like nowhere else could match this experience.

One of the biggest perks was the option for our guests to stay on-site. Our family made a mini holiday of it, and a few friends did too. This turned our wedding into more than just one day; it felt intimate, special, and so much more memorable. It also took the pressure off during the wedding day itself, allowing us to fully enjoy the celebration.”

CEREMONY
“Our ceremony was held on the grounds of voco Kirkton Park, overlooking the vineyards and mountain ranges.

We found wedding planning really overwhelming, so we chose to keep the styling simple. The venue itself is already so beautiful that very little embellishment was needed.”

RECEPTION
“We really tried to do everything as budget friendly as possible, but we splurged on the things that meant a lot to us. Our top priority was ensuring our guests had the most comfortable and enjoyable experience celebrating with us. We put a lot of thought into planning the day’s timeline with this in mind.

At our reception, we had a string trio play. I was deep into Bridgerton at the time – so this was a must. Our guests loved it, and it added a magical touch to the day’s ambience.

Once the formalities were over and dinner had wrapped up, a DJ took over, playing an epic Spotify playlist I had carefully curated. It was truly the highlight of the night!”
