ABOUT JADE

Jade has worked as a florist for over 20 years now and her business and personal skill set continue to evolve. She has an absolute passion for learning and is dedicated to being the best she can be – both professionally and personally. Whether its working with mentors, podcasts, webinars – she is a wealth of information when it comes to the local wedding scene.

“I am a big believer in the power of positive thinking. You can do anything you put your mind to.”

When Jade isn’t working, she loves the simple things in life…a pot of chai tea in the sun, swimming in the ocean, hanging out with her daughter and dogs, eating chocolate and planning her next holiday.

ABOUT JADE MCINTOSH FLOWERS

Jade previously owned a retail florist shop in The Junction, Newcastle for a number of years. When Jade sold the business, she kept the wedding bookings – and realised just how much she loved this side of the business.

20 years on, Jade now specialises in wedding florals and is highly regarded by her customers, as well as her wedding industry peers. It is this reputation that has seen the business branch out into other celebratory and corporate events, product launches and styled shoots.

Jade is always striving to offer a unique experience with exceptional customer service – and she delivers this time and time again. A perfect example of this is the creation of sister business – White Roses Styling – which offers styling and prop / furniture hire. A great add on service for her clients.

The continued growth of the business has seen the business move from a home-based studio, to an industrial warehouse workspace! And Jade hasn’t looked back.

ABOUT WEDDINGS

Jade has a very distinct style when it comes to her wedding day florals.

“Nothing too perfect…organic and unstructured is how I would describe it. I tend to switch between classic and modern, to rustic native.”

Without a doubt, Jade can see a strong wedding trend towards everlasting and preserved foliages – particularly combined with the classics such as roses and elegant phalaenopsis orchids.

“I’m in love with statement arches/ceremony backdrops and ceiling/room florals (not just on tables). Most of what is created for the ceremony can also be repurposed into the reception. This ensures a consistent style and is also cost effective too.”

TIPS FOR COUPLES

Jade’s advice for couples planning their wedding is to never choose your florist purely on the price of their quote. “It’s so important to love their style, their personality, and all round resonate with their business. If you feel you trust and can rely on them, other aspects can be worked out as a team.”
