IMMOGEN + JACOB

Stonehurst Cedar Creek. 

Immogen and Jacob wanted a wedding venue that would be in close proximity for their families to travel. They also wanted to ensure that there was ample accommodation for their guests.

“When searching for our venue, we came across Stonehurst Cedar Creek and absolutely fell in love with the outdoor reception area. Despite having nearly 150 people, Stonehurst made the wedding feel intimate and relaxed, which was the vibe we were after.”

CEREMONY
“We opted for a minimal aisle with scattered single stemmed roses and a beautiful love nest to showcase the amazing views behind us. We had one of our close friends as our celebrant who made the ceremony carefree and relaxed, with plenty of added laughs.”

RECEPTION
“We both come from big families with a large mutual friend group, so a reception with shared plating was perfect for an intimate outdoor dining experience. The speeches were a big highlight with plenty of tears shed – mainly from every joke cracked by Jacob’s brother.

Following the reception, we danced all night. We love a good time and wanted a big party after all the formalities were done – and it did not disappoint. I wanted a fun party dress for the reception and was lucky enough to find it a few days out from the wedding (very last minute!). I was so happy with the option for a different reception dress with sneakers, to accommodate all the dancing!”

DETAILS
“Our style was a classic vibe. We had an earthy colour palette with light creams, brown and white. We opted for predominantly white flowers that stood out against the greenery of the venue.

Having our dogs present on the day was a highlight for us. We love our dogs (like really love them) and knew we couldn’t not have them be a part of the day. It will forever be one of the best decisions we made.”
