Whilst looking for a wedding venue, Amelia and Dan stumbled across Spicers Guesthouse.

“The instant appeal for us was the stunning ceremony and reception spaces. And with Dan being a chef, excellent food was a priority for us. Everything about Spicers Guesthouse was a dream come true. Coincidentally, it was also where Amelia’s parents were married.”

CEREMONY
“Literally seconds before walking down the aisle, the skies opened, and it started pouring rain – so we had to move our ceremony inside. Guests, staff, and vendors were amazing in helping to do so and the result was equally as beautiful inside.”

RECEPTION
“With Dan being a chef, we often have friends over for dinner to share a meal around the table. Our love language is food, so we wanted to replicate the family share style that we would have at home. We had two long tables with the most incredible meals from éRemo Restaurant spread down the middle. Our guests left the wedding with full hearts and full bellies. Just the way we wanted it to be.”

“I am very lucky to have a wedding styling and stationery business with my mother, so when it came to styling we were in our element. Artful, timeless, and romantic were the words we kept throwing around. We wanted to create moments throughout the day that captured attention.

The MVP award goes to Amelia’s Mum Lia, from Events to Adore. She not only juggled mother of the bride duties, but also provided all the tableware décor hire, was the head stylist and on the day coordinator for all our extravagant ideas. Mum not only met our brief, but exceeded expectations.”
